The reason we decided on them was because they took the time to discuss how they would take down our 40 foot tree that was leaning. After we agreed on a price and before a date was set, I called to ask if they could give us a quote on grinding down four cactus stumps and trimming our three palm trees on the same day they plan to cut the tree down. Within an hour, Bruce showed up and gave me the quote to be added to the tree quote. The following week, the crew showed up on time and finished the job within two hours, including clean up. I highly recommend going with Pope Tree Service. Professional, responsive, good value for the money and just plain great. It would have taken my husband and son weeks to dig the cactus stumps out and each one took about five minutes of grinding with the equipment the staff used. I've used other tree companies in Ramona / Julian area in the past years and even on a good day, those "other guys" are par at best (if you're lucky)! Paul came back three times during the course of our trimming, just to see how the job was going, and answer any questions we had. We used Pope Tree Service for the trimming of our oak trees. The crew was very professional, knowledgeable, on time, and very hard workers. While the trees were being trimmed, one of the workers noticed we had an infestation of bugs that would eventually kill the trees. We then had Pope Tree Service come back and treat the trees to keep them from dying. "I got three estimates to have a large silk floss tree removed from my property because it had roots that were causing problems for my patio. Pope Tree Service came in at a much better price than the others I called. They told me that the men would be at my home at 11:00 am, but they arrived around 10:45 am. And, they were FAST! I could not believe how fast they got that big tree down, as well as what was left of an old plum tree, and a stump in the front that was left from a eucalyptus tree that had been taken down about 20 some years ago.
